Nairn - Discover Championship Golf and Award Winning Beaches
A delightful Victorian seaside resort and attractive harbour town with an award winning beach, and whose two championship golf course (Nairn and Nairn Dunbar) have made Nairn a magnet for golfers from all over the world. Nearby attractions include romantic Cawdor Castle (home to Shakespeare’s MacBeth) and the superb year-round walking, cycling and birdwatching opportunities of Culbin Forest.
Nairn makes an ideal base for exploring the sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages along the "big skies" Moray Firth coastline. Perhaps spend some time dolphin and whale watching. The resident pod of Moray Firth dolphins can sometimes be seen from Nairn harbour. Serious golfers might be interested to know that there are thirty golf courses within a sixty mile radius of Nairn.
For ornithologists, Nairn makes a wonderful base from which to visit the many bird reserves and hides in the area from the very local RSPB Culbin sands reserve to the Ospreys of Loch Garten.
There is always something to see in Nairn in the way of events. Notably, Highland games, art and books festival and an increasingly well attended Jazz festival
